others are saying.
After last year’s first-ever Stronger conference, interest and momentum is growing for this year’s conference. Here are a few quotes from last year.
I wish we could have brought more guys from our church to share in this great event! Hopefully our excitement will trigger more to come next time.
It was a well planned, outstanding event. A blessed day and I look forward to Stronger 20.
Lead Pastor, PORTICO Community Church
An empowering leader, passionate follower of Jesus and gifted communicator, Doug is thrilled to be serving as the keynote speaker at Stronger 2020. For the past 19 years, he has been leading PORTICO Community Church in Mississauga, ON, into becoming a thriving multi-cultural, multi-campus church. Representing 92 nations of the world, the church is relentlessly engaged in their mission of helping people find their way back to God. Doug is looking forward to inspiring the men to embrace their true identity in Christ, to rise up to their full potential and impact the world through their unique calling. Doug is married to Laura, and they have one son, Kyle who is married to Beth. When Doug’s not immersed in his passion for the church, you’ll likely find him straddling a motorcycle or tinkering on his ’69 Ford truck.
What Doug is saying about Stronger 20
“If Fitbits, health apps, and fitness centres were guaranteed to make us stronger, we should all be invincible. Research tends to indicate the opposite. Stronger is not a suggestion, it is your calling! You can be— a stronger leader, a stronger husband, a stronger dad, and a stronger man. Together, we will discover what stronger looks like from God’s vantage point, where strength is not defined by equal measures of sheer will power and determination. Invest a day and change your life!”

Act now as we are expecting a sellout!
1. How much does it cost and what is included in the registration fee?
The registration fee is $40 through February 3rd, 2020. After that the fee goes up to $50. The day includes guest speakers, worship music, a selection of two breakout sessions, a dinner style lunch, snacks and beverages.
2. Is this a regional event or just for Hillside men?
That’s a great question! Based on a genuine kingdom mindset, this event is very much intended to be a day of great inspiration and encouragement for men in our region – thus, it’s definitely not just for Hillsiders. In fact, last year saw guys attend from more than 20 churches representing many denominations from throughout the Greater Moncton Area and beyond. Exciting! We’re expecting even broader interest in the region this year.
3. Where is it taking place?
The conference is being hosted at Hillside Baptist in Moncton. This venue is ideally suited for conferences and has repeatedly hosted The Global Leadership Summit, Believability and the Canadian Youth Workers Conference. The church is located at 2290 Mountain Road in Moncton, New Brunswick.
4. Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely! Just ensure that you register them online so that we can guarantee them a spot.
5. Do I need to select my two breakout sessions before February 8th?
No. On the day of the event you will simply go to whichever sessions you are most interested in.
6. Can youth attend?
Yes. The workshops are not typically geared towards teenagers but if you think your young adult male would benefit from the day then we would certainly welcome them. Be sure to register them in advance to ensure we have room for them.
