Dear Hillside Family,

Welcome to 2017! It’s a new year and, with it, a new opportunity for you to develop a growing relationship with God.  Last Sunday, Pastor Dave and I recapped some of the many highlights of 2016. It was quite a Grand Opening year! If you missed it, here’s the link.

2016 Highlights

I hope you’re able to join us this Sunday as we jump into the winter season of the popular “Believe” series.  If you loved the fall season, you you’re going to really be blessed again this winter! And if you’re new… Know that this is a timely opportunity to get engaged and also consider participating in a Believe growth group. Attending a Believe group is a great next way to accelerate your spiritual growth in community with others. Interested in getting in a Believe group this winter? Here’s the link to find out more.

Believe Group

To recap about “Believe”… Grounded in Scripture, Believe is a spiritual growth experience for the whole church family that helps Christ followers of all ages to think, act, and be more like Jesus.  During the winter series, we’ll being focusing on ten core practices (spiritual habits) that are essential for every follower of Jesus. This includes topics like worship, prayer, Bible study, using my spiritual gifts, sharing my faith, etc.

By the way, our new challenge in 2017 is that due to the way the calendar unfolds this year we actually have 53 (not just 52) fantastic Sundays to look forward to this year. How neat is that?!!

Speaking of this Sunday, we’re back to our full Sunday morning programming with 2 services at 9 and 11am as well as all of the amazing Sunday morning programs parents appreciate so much for their children (birth-age 18). Our service will feature more God exalting worship, welcoming the newest 29 members into our Hillside family (exciting!), and Pastor Dave’s practical message on the subject of worship.  In addition, you’ll be hearing more about our exciting plans for “Hillside’s Got Talent” (coming soon), our winter missions project, and so much more.

See You Sunday,

Pastor Jerry
