Hey Friends,

Hope you’re having a blessed week! Lots of cold and snow around yet spring is coming soon – right?!! Maybe some wishful thinking but the calendar indicates only 8 more days ‘til spring.

Here’s a couple key updates going into the weekend.

1.     We’re just over 3 weeks away from the launch of our 3rd service on Easter Sunday at 1pm – imagine!  Did you know that last Easter we had almost 800 people worship with us on this amazing day? And with continued growth and momentum in our ministry this winter even despite the weather (up 13% or about 75 more people each week so far in ’15), our team is projecting somewhere between 900-1,000 on this big day. As a Great Commission church founded on the truth and promises of our risen Saviour, I have a prayerful ask: Would you ‘all in’ to be part of a core group of Hillsiders willing to make room for more by choosing to “Celebrate the Son at One” this spring? We are looking to identify at least 75 Hillsiders who would partner with us to ensure a successful launch starting on Easter Sunday. If we can count on you, please sign up on this link – 1:00pm Service.

2.     There is a lot happening in our Imagine Campaign. We’re now over $1.6million in cash/pledges raised to date and we’re seeking to “close the gap” in coming days. Also, our design team is working with Acadian Construction to begin the tender process this month during a season right now where it appears that building prices will be quite favorable to us. The best way to stay abreast of the campaign as well as all of the exciting wins, updates and upcoming plans in our ministry is to attend our annual Operations Meeting coming up soon on Tues. night, March 24th. We have lots to share with you! Doors open with refreshments at 6:30pm and the meeting gets underway at 7pm. All are welcome! Whether a newcomer, regular attender, newer member, or founding member, we would love to have you attend this very informative meeting! For your convenience, you can sign up now. Here’s the link – Annual Operations Meeting. By the way, annual report booklets will be available on Sunday, March 22nd.

Beyond these two important updates, I hope you’re planning to join us this Sunday. We’ll be in week 23 of The Story. Have you been taking time to read this chapter this week? Some amazing stories from the life of Jesus… With Easter only a few weeks away, our whole focus is shifting exclusively to our Saviour Jesus. Carrying a heavy burden? Need a fresh touch from Jesus on your life these days? If so, this Sunday might just be for you! A meaningful service is planned with songs, moments of prayer, and Pastor Dave’s message pointing us to Jesus and his incredible ministry to broken, struggling people. Come expectantly, I believe you won’t be disappointed.

Thanks for the privilege and joy of serving with you. How exciting to be part of a church where the best days are ahead!

See you soon,

Pastor Jerry
