Dear Hillside Family,

I’m writing this “All In” enews in the aftermath of our annual Operations Meeting last night. Words cannot describe how grateful I am to God for being part of a church whose so committed to moving forward, taking risks, and making room for more. By God’s grace, we had lots to celebrate last night as we took time to reflect on the numerous ways God led and favoured our ministry in 2015. Just think: only 10 months ago, the Imagine project was only a dream. Now, it’s a reality!

With this in mind, be sure to join us this Sunday as we continue to move into this new day by launching our new 4 week “Welcome Home” series. During the month of April we’re going to leverage this timely opportunity to reaffirm the kind of church we continually strive to be as we make room for more. Who doesn’t want to be part of a church that feels like home? Through this new series from Acts chapter 2, we’ll be gaining some relevant insights that led to the growth and transformational impact of the early church.

Speaking of this Sunday… I’m really thrilled that gifted worship leaders Jason and Charmaine Brown from Ontario will be with us. After a very intense season for all of us at Hillside in recent weeks, we’re going to enjoy some refreshing moments of worship and praise with the Browns on Sunday. As many of you know, they are truly Hillside friends (remember they were with us last year on Mother’s Day) and are back with us by popular demand. I know we’re going to be blessed! I’ll also be teaching and interviewing them on the subject of what it means to be “A Worshipping Church”.

And finally an important word to some of our newer people… Whether you’ve been here for a few days, a few weeks or even a few months, we’d love to encourage you to attend “Getting Started” this Sunday morning at 9am. This is a great first step at Hillside. Pastor Dave is hosting the class and they’ll be meeting downstairs in the Cafe. “Getting Started” includes an introduction to our church as well as a tour of our facilities. Interested? Have a wonderful weekend, everyone! I thank God for you and look forward to being together again on Sunday.

Blessings,

Pastor Jerry
